Notice added 02 February 2011:

Due to tyre availability issues the SCRC Committee made the following amendments to Rule 11.2:

11.2.1 Any road legal or semi-slick tyre generally available to the South African public may be used.

11.2.1.1 All new tyre makes presented are subject to approval by the Committee.

11.2.2 Maximum tyre size of 225 as printed by the manufacturer on the tyre side-wall with a maximum rim diameter of 15inch and 8J width is allowed.

11.2.3 Chrome rims are not permitted.

11.2.4 No slick tyres or re-treads are permitted.

11.2.5 Tyre warmers are not permitted.
